I recently had 2 of this pump motor installed;
one for the filter, the other for my spa.
I am very pleased with my choice!
The motor is VERY quiet. If I move just
6 ft away from the filter motor, I can't
even hear it. The only way I know the filter/motor
are running is I see the pool water circulating.
Please note this motor is "full rated", not "up rated".
An "up rated" 1 1/2 HP does not deliver a "true" 1 1/2 HP.
With this motor, I was able to replace my 2 HP
motors with this 1 1/2 HP energy efficient
and in doing so, will save on my electric bill.
I highly recommend this motor for anyone looking
for an energy saving, ultra quiet motor.
I purchased the 1HP version of this pump about 10 months ago. It has worked flawlessly and is very quiet. Last week, I noticed a little squeak come from the pump motor on startup. The sound was brief and occasional, but stopped after running for several minutes. I made a warranty inquiry with Pentair and they had someone at my house within only a few days. Great service. Just to be sure, they exchanged the motor with a brand new one. I am so impressed. I would definitely recommend this product and brand.
